Quotes from attendees of the 2007 CBA Music Camp:
“Best camp I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to a lot!”
“Best part of camp? I can’t pick any one part, it was ALL great. On a scale of 1 to 10, I was hoping for a 6 or 7 and got a 20! You and all your teachers are first rate.”
“Everyone is friendly and makes you feel welcome and part of a big family.”
“Tall ponderosas, great people, well organized program, patient and enthusiastic teachers, wonderful food!”
“Thanks so much for an absolutely fabulous experience. I’m not sure when I’ve been at a similar event that was so well organized, enjoyable, instructive, and worthwhile. You and your staff are terrific!”
“I loved the teachers. What an amazing assembly of talent and passion for music. I am deeply inspired.”
“The best part of camp is the quality and sincerity of the instructors. Their openness and love of music and appreciation of students was obvious.”
“I loved the instruction—it was exactly what I needed and wanted. Wonderful, clear guidance. Fun, easy-going, but organized teaching. I got SO much out of it!”
“Best parts of camp are the slow jam, three-hour lessons with fabulous teacher, and enthusiastic students! I love the quiet, small-town atmosphere. And it’s inspiring to see how much devotion the volunteers bring to fostering the camp spirit of music and community.”
“The instructors were fabulous, helpful, encouraging, patient, and professional! The students were also great. I had a wonderful time!”
“The staff concert is awesome, the instructors are fantastic, everyone is friendly! So much information, inspiration, and fun!”
“The staff concert is the best evening of music you hear all week, including the headliners at the festival!”
“I really enjoyed the staff concert. The performers take risks and perform things they might not do for a more general audience, and this lets magic happen. It’s a privilege to be able to hear it.”
“Old friends, new friends, multiple opportunities to jam, superb instructors. The staff concert alone is worth the price of admission, and the contra dancing is just about the most fun in the world!”
“The camp was extremely well organized, but in a relaxed, comfortable way. My instructor was excellent!”
“A very warm, open, and supportive positive environment, with an impressive calendar of events. Wonderful mix of choice for elective classes, and extremely informative to the novice.”
(from the mother of an 11-year-old camper): “The way that our neighbor campers befriended, supported, and encouraged our daughter was heartwarming. Watching her sing with them, in the camplight, songs that she knew and songs that my father sang to me when I was young, is something I will never forget. I would say that, as a whole, all of the campers we met, young and old, showed these same qualities, so I would have to agree that the other campers, indeed, were one of the best things about camp. Personally, I would have to include the staff in there, too—they are always truly amazing!”
“I’m so glad you do this every year!”
