Quotes from attendees of the 2011 Winter Music Camp:
“I just want to let you know that I had a fan-friggin'-tastic time at camp last weekend! It was my very first experience at a music camp of any kind, and it exceeded all my expectations. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! I will be joining the CBA, and attending camp next year. Woot!”
“Many many thanks for the wonderful job you did in giving this conference the great spirit - I mean Bluegrass Karaoke, really! - the relevant classes and electives, and the great organization in putting it all together. I had a fabulous time. It might have done sometime my husband has wanted for me to do for a long time. ......I think I'm beginning to fall in love with Bluegrass.”
“Another wonderful and engaging music camp. This one just gets better and better.......”
“A very impressive organization of what could have been a herd of greased musicians on ice.
We had a great time. We will be back …”
“It was one of the best camps.”
“This camp was so great in every way!”
“Camp was awesome.....”
“I want to add my voice to what surely must be a rousing chorus of "Thank you!" for the wintercamp. I enjoyed myself tremendously, in no small part due to the (what seemed like) seamless logistics that made it all work. This was my first time at a music camp of any kind, and I intend for it not to be the last. It feels corny to express things this way, but I really do want to wish you a warm thank you for the magic, sweat, and mojo you put into this to make it so special.”
“This was the very best camp of all. Talent and friendliness out of everyone. Lots of good and useful info
and tips that would have been inappropriate during instruction and even office hours. Pure Gold.”
“It was all awesome as usual.”
“What a great camp! Thank you.”
“Thank you for putting together a wonderful camp program. I was a first-time camper, and have already described the experience to friends and family as a transformative one. The community of musicians and students has a lot to commend it, but it wouldn't have been quite as utopian if it weren't for excellent organization and attention to detail.”
“Thank you so much again for all you did to create such a wonderful camp. I am grateful for the opportunity to have studied with such a rich collection of musical masters, and have so many fun and delicious options to support that process. Many blessings and thanks.”
“I've been to more than a half dozen camps, some many times, so I can say from experience that the CBA camp is top shelf.”
“Thank you for providing such an incredible musical experience for all of us.”
“I loved camp! It was beautifully organized, and ran very smoothly, you did an AWE-some job. Every class was on time, amazing. I loved the structure of the day.”
“Thank you for a very very fun weekend. The entire weekend was a blast. Feels like I was gone a month (and I have no interest in doing anything related to my normal reality--I want to go back to camp!)”
“Camp was phenomenal, as I knew it would be. Thank you, for all your hard work. I'm sure I'm not the only one that counts music camp as the highlight of the year.”
“Camp is honestly the highlight of our year. Memories to last a lifetime. Our daughter has wished she could go back every day since it's been over, and already she can't wait for summer camp to be here! We feel the same. Thank-you so very much.”
“The highest highlight of camp for me was being able to sing and play guitar at the student concert. I still can't believe it. Having three of my fellow jam friends want to be in my band because they loved my song, (they hijacked a banjo player camper who learned the song in one practice) - was the most awesome ending to my camp experience. Also, as I was leaving, so many people congratulated me and told me they loved my song. So much love - who could ask for anything more.”
“ I went in with trepidation and left feeling like a musician. Thank you, Thank you.”
“Thank you for organizing one of the most fun four days ever.”
Dates for next year’s summer camp in Grass Valley: June 10th-13th, 2012
Website will be updated for summer in March.
